  • I've seen those pics. very beautiful, but they are not frozen waves. it's actually glacial ice that's been eroded by wind or sun into a wave like shape. the color and clarity of the ice is the give away.

  • "There's always one who has to ruin it"

It's either spectacular and beautiful or it is not. Why can't we accept the beauty of a garden without also having to believe there are fairies at the bottom of it?

  • "The Sultan bought the Airbus A340-212 brand new for roughly $100m and had it flown to Waco from the Boeing factory"

Someone needs to tell the source that no Airbus A340 would be flown "brand new" (or, likely, at any other time) from a Boeing factory. Airbus is a European company, Boeing is American, and they are in perpetual competition.

I wonder if the departure from this marketing trend can be tied to the decline in auto sales of American manufacturers?

  • How sad, when I look at the American cars and European cars, I see why we're such a gas-guzzling nation. There wasn't a single small car in those ads. Not blaming you, that was clearly the trend, and still is. While people came up with cute and sporty small cars in Europe, all we had here were huge monsters. Seems like the folks in Europe had more fun.
