Cool Ads, Part 6

"QUANTUM SHOT" #219

For the other installments in this popular series CLICK HERE

Creativity continues to spill over in the advertising world. No wonder we keep buying stuff that we sometimes don't really need. The inventive marketing ideas insinuate themselves into our minds, only to emerge at that crucial buying moment, when we let our subconscious to take over. Of course, it's all part of the game, the age-old game of cat and mouse. As long as consumers are getting entertained, they don't mind playing along. So, here is another batch of splendid marketing ideas:

Anti-pollution message, worthy of impressive Photoshop job
(Silver Award, Cannes Lions 2007)

(Advertising Agency: Contrapunto for WWF)

------------

Food & Drink Ad Masterpieces

Bird Food Ads:
(making a clever use of Peter Fendrick's 3D works;
won Silver Cannes Lions Award in 2007)

Ad for the Super Lock Food Containers:
"Lock your food in the right place"
(Some Cthulhu / Davy Jones ideas here)

(Advertising Agency: McCann Erickson)

Obligatory "Absolut" section:

Start a Fresh Life:
(for Fresh Life Snack Pack)

(Advertising Agency: The Foundry, Melbourne, Australia)

Are you still eating meat?

This is actually about the "instant relief of acid indigestion"...

------------

Slightly Shocking:

"Human, after all..." (from banned Diesel campaign):

Next series is so bizarre, that you have to see it full-size. Here is the link

(Advertising Agency: DDB)

------------

Bug Funeral:

Ad for the powerful electric fan:

(image credit: Betsie Van der Meer)

Diesel: Global Warming Ready:

Mind-blowing clothing, quite literally:

Very classy and sublime:

Fedex T-Shirt:

New form of art:

------------

Car Advertisements

We'll keep this section "short-n-sweet" today:

Again, a little ad rivalry -
Volkswagen's Polo ad appeared first:

Nissan's prompt answer:

(source: András John)

------------

Urban Advertisement: Perfect Placement

Amnesty International:

We wrote about this "Wrong Job" campaign before, but here are new images, just as good: (click to enlarge)

Perfect LEGO ad:

Ad for paints, quite impossible to pass by:

Paint swatches:

And we finish with a perfect "minimalist" ad:

Love the "life's too short for the wrong job" ads! So well crafted.

"Ad for paints, quite impossible to pass by" is actually a Nationwide Insurance ad.

Like "get insurance before a billboard of a huge can of paint suddenly becomes REAL and tips over and spills on your building and cars".. sort of.

I know the bad rap Star Wars games tend to get, and Im not usually a fan myself, but after watching the previs vids, I have to say, this looks like a damned cool game. The enemy AI is the most advanced I've ever seen, the moves and force powers look like so much evil fun, and the story could actually be engaging. Also, check out the video on the world itself, seems the design team have broken a barrier in regard to realism in material design, i mean the wood actually breaks like wood

I actually took the second pic - the green and yellow wires connecting two cabinets.
