"QUANTUM SHOT" #94

Ladies and Cars: Quite an Eye-pleasing Combination!

In fact, simply unbeatable combination for advertising: this is why pretty girls were photographed next to good-looking cars since cars were invented. This first issue of vintage ads focuses on European car makes, the next issues will highlight American ads, and you'll be able to compare these two distinct approaches.

It contains an ad for the first car I every owned:

Interestingly enough, they're advertising that car by:

1- Putting the car as far away as possible
2- On a mud track,
3- Put a pretty girl as close as possible (in the mud too.)

LOL!

Does anyone know what kind of car is the one in the italian-looking courtyard with the greco-roman statues, about halfway down the page?

Is it just me or does the girl in the Citroen look really pretty. And she looks like she is dresed in the modern day! Strange...

"joshua" above is spam.

Anyways, I would have expected some of the European car ads show exposed breasts.

Murcielago_LP640 - I'm pretty sure that's Jane Birkin in the back of the Citroen.

I applaud this site and whoever came up with this idea. It really proves to others out there that you can advertise cards without making girls act and look like prostitutes. :)
