A short caveat: the "battery of the future" is not actually rechargeable (not electrically anyway, since it harnesses the radioactive decay of its contents), produces a tiny amount of power (perhaps enough to power your digital wristwatch...) and belongs to a class of devices with a long and distinguished history of use mostly in satellites and such space tech where longevity is key, power is not.
