"QUANTUM SHOT" #746

Getting into the Seasonal cheer... and staying there!

"Joyful, Joyful!" - these are great times spent with family, friends,
pets, many turkeys and the subsequent turkey soups & casseroles. The skies
are smiling on those who smile back, and also on those who are discouraged
and alone and do not have the slightest inclination to look up, or to
      cheer up.

In this season, however, we are reminded of the "All Is
Ultimately Well" good tidings and perhaps of a ten million unwanted
calories coming to stay for a while, if we are not careful.

Here is a hodge-podge Seasonal Cheer collection of images from DRB - with
many thanks to our loyal readership and looking forward to another great
year of exploring the niches of "weird & wonderful"!

No Christmas This Year!.... (just kidding):

      (art by William Stout)

Th image above is the rare Christmas card by the world famous underground
comics artist and film set designer, William Stout. Here is Heroic Santa,

      Santa is on the move:

      Christmas, Ronald Reagan-style:

      Somewhat frivolous "bait":

      Silent Night... Soviet style

(art by two Russian artists, Leonid Tishkov and Boris Bendikov,
        “Private Moon” series)

      Some Nicely Decorated "Trees"

Why decorate a tree, when you can decorate a bridge? Spotted in Turkey,
this old bridge sports a light fixture:

Put that old car to use, as a slide:

So, you're wondering what's in store for us in 2012? Well... let's see...
      really, what's out there? -
