About an optimist picture 1969, I tink they are "Up Whith The People" can´t you remember it?
Although the Fiat did not catch on in the US; it was noted by the Russians and became the famous "Lada," known as the "Riva" here in the UK.
Perhaps a DRB article in the making could be about soviet designs copied from the europeans?
I can think of a fair number; aircraft (Tuploev copy of I think a Flying Fortress? Concord-ski?)
Motorbikes (Mainly BMWs, now known as Urals. This design has since been copied by the Chinese!)
