Surfing on High-Speed Trains

"The Extreme Trainsurfer" attaches himself to the ICE train, traveling at speeds exceeding 330 km/h, and surfs as shown in this video.

Except, he did not die later of leukemia, as this other video proofs. It also has an interview with Trainrider.

Godzilla Anatomy

Ever wondered what Godzilla (and other Japanese movie monsters) got in terms of anatomy inside? Well, here's your chance to study - and maybe find its weak spots:

Or, the alternative - giant CAT GODZILLA's magazine (look him in the eye!):

24 K gold-plated... Costing a fortune, too. Not sure if REAL Buddhists would be attracted to the vanity of this device:

Matteo Ferrari "tracks down men who have been driving the same car for decades. He then recreates the photos taken when they first bought their cars.". Apparently such art project even has a name: "Automotive Monogamy"

Romanian Trovants - Stones that grow by themselves. "Environmental Graffiti" has a good info article about them.

These are sandstone concretions, growing after every rain because of an irregular secretion of cement. More awesome images here.

The Shooting Down of Korean Boeing in 1978

This was the quintessential Cold War episode (info), where Russian fighters shot down a civil flight which failed to obey the commands to alter the course. Two passengers were killed and the rest saved by Russian helicopters from the emergency landing site on the frozen lake in Siberia. Now the pictures (once top-secret) has surfaced:

The Ronald McDonald horror drawing is by an artist that goes by *sachsen and lives in the Philippines. I just know this because I know their deviantart.com page. http://sachsen.deviantart.com/

Ronald McDonald is horror art anywhere. We had one just like that (ok, not that pose) on a bench outside the McDonald's in Wal-mart and and a mother was trying to get her child to sit next to it so she could get a picture, and the child wanted nothing to do with it. That wide, fake grin... those empty, staring eyes... *shudder* I should have taken a picture for the nightmare playground series.

The house is called the "six shell bubble house/ “Bulle“ à 6 coques" by french architect Jean maneval. Some 30 were made and located in a village in the French Pyrennes, I believe that a few have been rescued and renovated. They were easy to transport, breaking into six parts, and being designed to be transported on one truck. It is one of my favourite pieces of architecture. See www.designboom.com/eng/archi/maneval.html - 3k

The turtle monster is Gamera, I believe the asparagus-squid thing is Viras.

Anonymous Mektoub said...

I agree with tangle, the "regular" Ronald Mc Donald itself is creepy my two children never loved him either.

Sorry Avi, I only just saw your response. You should check out Brother's Brick for cool LEGO models. We do our best to keep up with the coolest stuff out there.
