Heavy Machinery Acrobatics, Part 2

"QUANTUM SHOT" #307
Link

Think of Using Construction Machinery? Think Again!

Read Part 1 here, and "Crane Oops" here.

The slew of accidents plaguing heavy construction machinery (especially cranes) continues unabated. Most crane predicaments could have been averted by correct placing of counterweights, or attention of the operator. Some others, though, could be attributed only to the exceptional dumbness of whoever was involved.

"Stuck" is the proper word to apply here:

CLAW

...needs a little Viagra? -

Accident waiting to happen:

Crane Accidents site, maintained by Doyle Peeks, keeps good track of all kinds of mis-fortunes happening to cranes. Here are a few examples:

Other heavy machinery joins in on the fun:

Buried... long time ago.

How many excavators, etc. are buried under this pile? -

Awww! How cute, baby excavator!

On this Dutch site you'll see multiple occasions of sunken groomers and other heavy machinery plight:

Trucks do not fare any better:

It helps to avert disaster if your truck is scary as hell itself:

In the meantime, the biggest and the heaviest haulers tackle the scariest tasks:

... perfect Halloween activity.

The top three pics weren't the cranes fault....it was on a flatbed trailer and the driver of the rig went under a bridge that is too low....

The crane hooked the first part then went up and through as the driver pulled it in.

By the way....I love DRB!
